Section 5 AAC 31.125 - Lawful shrimp trawl gear for Registration Area A(a) Shrimp may be taken with beam trawls in Registration Area A only as specified in this section.(b) The minimum mesh size for a beam trawl shall be determined by measuring a series of 10 consecutive meshes when the web is wet, from selvage to selvage, with the knots pulled together. The distance covered by 10 meshes, measured from the inside of the first knot in the series to the outside of the last knot in the series, may not be less than 13.5 inches.
