Section 5 AAC 28.206 - Prince William Sound Area registration(a) During a state-waters season for Pacific cod described in 5 AAC 28.267, the Prince William Sound Area is (1) an exclusive registration area for a vessel validly registered to take Pacific cod with groundfish not gear or longline gear; and (2) a nonexclusive registration area for a vessel validly registered to take Pacific cod with mechanical jigging machine and hand troll gear. (b) In the Prince William Sound Area, for the walleye pollock fishery using trawl gear, the registration deadline for the registration year is January 13.(c) In the Inside District, a Prince William Sound CFEC sablefish permit holder, or the permit holder's agent, must register for the commercial sablefish fishery before 5:00 p.m. April 1.(d) In the Prince William Sound Area, prior to operating a vessel in a directed fishery for lingcod or Pacific cod during a parallel season, or Pacific cod during a state-waters season as described in 5 AAC 28.267, the vessel operator or authorized agent of the vessel operator must obtain a fishery-specific registration for that vessel.Eff. 4/4/97, Register 142; am 7/5/2000, Register 155; am 3/30/2003, Register 165; am 3/30/2006, Register 177; am 3/14/2009, Register 189; am 3/24/2012, Register 201; am 4/20/2012, Register 202; am 3/29/2015, Register 213, April 2015; am 6/26/2016, Register 218, July 2016; am 3/29/2018,Register 225, April 2018
