Section 5 AAC 28.073 - Trip limits for commercial walleye pollock vessels

In the state waters between 140° W. long. and 170° W. long., a person may not harvest from, off-load from, or retain on board a catcher vessel, during a calendar day, more than 300,000 pounds of unprocessed walleye pollock, or retain on board a tender vessel, during a calendar day, more than 600,000 pounds of unprocessed walleye pollock, harvested in the state waters adjacent to the federal waters of the Western, Central, and a portion of the Eastern Gulf of Alaska Areas described in 50 C.F.R. 679, Figure 3, revised as of May 21, 2009, adopted by reference.

5 AAC 28.073 was originally filed as an emergency regulation effective 9/27/99 and was scheduled to appear in the emergency regulations appendix of the Alaska Administrative Code in Register 152 (January 2000). Since the emergency regulation was also made permanent in Register 152, it never appeared in print in the emergency regulations appendix of Title 5 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
