Section 3 AAC 28.505 - Appropriateness of recommended purchase and excessive insurance(a) In recommending the purchase or replacement of a medicare supplement policy or certificate, a licensee shall make reasonable efforts to determine the appropriateness of a recommended purchase or replacement.(b) A sale of a medicare supplement policy or certificate that will provide an individual with more than one medicare supplement policy or certificate is prohibited.(c) An issuer may not issue a medicare supplement policy or certificate to an individual enrolled in medicare Part C unless the effective date of the coverage is after the termination date of the individual's Part C coverage.Eff. 8/8/90, Register 115; am 7/1/92, Register 122; am 4/21/99, Register 150; am 9/4/2005, Register 175In 2010 the revisor of statutes, acting under AS 01.05.031, renumbered former AS 21.89.060 as AS 21.96.060.
