21 Alaska Admin. Code § 25.070

Current through October 17, 2024
Section 21 AAC 25.070 - Priorities for investigation

When the ombudsman's resources are insufficient for adequate investigation due to the number of pending complaints, the ombudsman will consider the following priorities for selecting complaints for investigation:

(1) complaints alleging an emergency in which delay would subject the complainant to a substantial risk of serious and irreparable harm;
(2) complaints alleging prejudice, hann, or disadvantage for which the ombudsman believes that the possibility of an effective remedy requires investigation with minimal delay;
(3) complaints alleging recurring prejudice, harm, or disadvantage to multiple persons due to an administrative act;
(4) complaints alleging a single or isolated instance of prejudice, harm, or disadvantage that has already occurred and thus cannot be prevented by an ombudsman's investigation.
