Section 18 AAC 60.420 - Operations(a) A monofill must be operated so that (1) dust, odor, noise, traffic, and other effects from facility operations do not become a nuisance or hazard to the health, safety, or property of persons outside the boundary of the facility; and(2) litter is controlled by fencing or another approved means, and is removed from access roadways and other areas in the facility.(b) Except for drilling wastes, bulk liquid wastes and containerized liquid wastes may not be placed in a monofill unless authorized by a permit issued by the department.Eff. 1/28/96, Register 137Authority:AS 44.46.020
