17 Alaska Admin. Code § 70.040
Passenger and vehicle rates are named between all ports served by the ferry system. Rates are also named for berth or stateroom charges on vessels where such service is provided. Rate information is published in the schedule brochures, available at ferry offices, travel agencies and other public places. Passenger fares are given on a per-person basis, pursuant to the classifications of 17 AAC 70.020(1). Vehicle rates are generally based on the overall length of vehicle or combination of vehicles, with certain surcharges for long length and extra width added to the regular rate. All rates and charges are subject to frequent review and may be revised at the discretion of the commissioner if such change is deemed to be in the best interest of the general public and the ferry system.
