Associated equipment to be used in the normal course of operation of a breath test instrument, such as mouthpieces, print-out tape, and other similar devices must be approved by the scientific director for use with the breath test instrument. The scientific director will establish and maintain a list of approved associated equipment by type, brand, or model.

A list of certified instruments and approved associated equipment, referred to in 13 AAC 63.020 and 13 AAC 63.030, may be obtained from the scientific director, Department of Public Safety, scientific crime detection laboratory, 4805 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska, 99507.
