Section 13 AAC 03.095 - Use of divided and controlled-access highways - Restrictions
(a) When traveling on a highway that has been divided into two or more roadways by an intervening space, physical barrier, or clearly indicated dividing section constructed to impede vehicular traffic, a commercial motor vehicle must be driven on the right-hand roadway unless directed or permitted to use the lefthand roadway by an official traffic-control device, police officer, fireman, or authorized flagman. A commercial motor vehicle may not be driven over, across, or within the dividing space, barrier, or section, except
(1) through an opening or at an established crossover or intersection; or
(2) when specifically directed to do so by state or local authority.
(b) If the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities or a municipality, with respect to a controlled-access highway under its jurisdiction, prohibits or limits the use of a highway to certain types of vehicles or traffic, it must erect and maintain signs on the highway notifying drivers of the limitations.
(c) A person may drive a commercial motor vehicle onto or from a controlled-access roadway only at entrances and exits established by public authority.
