Section 870-X-4-.05 - Inactive Status(1) A person holding a valid license and not practicing may put the license in an inactive status by request to the Board, and by paying a fee of one-half (1/2) of the renewal fee. The renewal application must be received by the Board by January 31st.(2) A license may be held inactive for a maximum period of two years following expiration date of a valid license, at which time notice shall be mailed to the licensee at the last known address. If the licensee fails to renew the license within 30 days of notice of the expiration of two years inactive status, it shall be revoked and becomes invalid. Any licensee wishing to renew thereafter may reapply to the Board. In applying for a new license, the individual must meet continuing education requirements as specified in 870-X-4-.08(b).(3) An inactive licensee shall not accrue any penalty for late payment of the renewal fee that activates the license.Ala.
