Section 770-X-8-.17 - Meter Accuracy Requirement
(1) All meters used for measuring quantity of water delivered to a customer shall be in good mechanical condition and shall be adequate in size and design for the type of service which they measure.
(2) Before being installed for the use of any customer, every water meter whether new, repaired or removed from service for any cause shall be adjusted to register within the limits set forth in the following table:

*The minimum required accuracy for compound meters at any rate within the "changeover" range of flows shall be 85%.

(3) Periodic Meter Tests
(a) Unless otherwise authorized by the Commission, a representative sample of 10% of all meters in service shall be periodically inspected and tested by the utility at intervals not exceeding the following schedule:

(b) Nothing in these rules shall be construed to mean that such periodic tests may not be made more frequently than provided for in the above schedule.
