Section 660-3-7-.01 - Use Or Disclosure Of Information
(1) Under State statute which imposes legal sanctions, the use or disclosure of information concerning applicants or recipients of child support enforcement services will be for purposes directly connected with:
(a) The Department's administration of any plan or program approved under Parts A, B, C, or D of Title IV of the Social Security Act or under Titles II, X, XIV, XVI, XIX, XX, or XXI of the Act or the supplemental security income program established under Title XVI of the Act;
(b) Any investigations, prosecution or criminal or civil proceeding conducted in connection with the administration of such plan or program; or
(c) The administration of any other federally assisted program (such as the food stamp program) which provides assistance, in cash or in kind, or services, directly to individuals on the basis of need.
(2) The Department may disclose to an authorized non-IV-D individual certain location information from the State or Federal Parent Locator Service for the purpose of assisting them in establishing or enforcing a child support order.
(3) State tax return information can only be used in accordance to Title IV-D activities.
(4) Federal tax return information can only be used pursuant to the IRS Publication 1075 "Tax Information Security Guidelines for Federal, State, and Local Agencies and Entities."
(5) For rules related to release of information to Consumer Credit Reporting agencies, refer to 660-1-6-.08 and 660-1-6-.09.
(6) For rules related to release of child support payment records, refer to 660-1-6-.09.
