Section 482-1-065-.03 - DefinitionsThe following definitions shall apply for purposes of this chapter:
(a) Commissioner. The Alabama Commissioner of Insurance. Said term may also refer to the person to whom authority has been delegated pursuant to Section 27-2-8, Code of Ala. 1975.(b) Department. The Alabama Department of Insurance.(c) Hearing Officer. The Commissioner or any deputy, assistant, examiner or employee of the Department to whom authority has been delegated to conduct a hearing and other proceedings pertaining thereto.(d) Hearing Reporter. The Court Reporter engaged by the Department to transcribe the proceedings of the hearing.(d) Insurance Code. Title 27, Code of Ala. 1975, commencing with Section 27-1-1.
