Section 460-X-7-.03 - Criteria for Awarding Grants
(a) Grant programs are developed to meet the goals and objectives of the Alabama Historical Commission. The Alabama Historical Commission develops each program and defines the type of historic and/or archeological resource to be assisted, funding limit, matching share and any other eligibility requirements and priorities to be addressed.
(b) The Alabama Historical Commission publically announces the criteria and date by which applications must be received. Copies of the goals and objectives of the Alabama Historical Commission can be obtained from the Alabama Historical Commission at no cost.
(c) The Alabama Historical Commission may consider requests for grant assistance on a case by case basis if the proposal is determined by the Alabama Historical Commission to contribute, in an exceptional manner, to an understanding of state and national history. Grant monies will be allocated to applicants based on points earned on criteria.
