Section 307-X-1-.07 - Custody And Transportation Of Equipment

Sections 17-9-36 and 17-9-37, which provide for the custody and transportation of voting machines, shall apply to marksense ballot counters as well. In addition to the custodian now authorized by law, a county may employ electronic voting specialists to serve as troubleshooters during elections. These persons are to be trained in the operation of electronic voting equipment and in these procedures. They may be sent to assist in any precinct, but they shall not assume the title or authority of the regular poll workers assigned to a precinct.
