ACTION:

Notice of open meeting.

SUMMARY:

This notice announces a meeting of the Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board (EM SSAB), Portsmouth. The Federal Advisory Committee Act requires that public notice of this meeting be announced in the Federal Register .

Thursday, July 25, 2024; 6 p.m.-8 p.m. EDT.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Purpose of the Board: The purpose of the Board is to provide advice and recommendations concerning the following EM site-specific issues: clean-up activities and environmental restoration; waste and nuclear materials management and disposition; excess facilities; future land use and long-term stewardship. The Board may also be asked to provide advice and recommendations on any EM program components.

Public Participation: The meeting is open to the public. The EM SSAB, Portsmouth, will make every effort to accommodate persons with physical disabilities or special needs. The EM SSAB, Portsmouth will hear oral public comments during the meeting. Written statements may be filed either before or after the meeting. Written comments received no later than 5 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 19, 2024, will be read aloud during the meeting. Written comments submitted by 5 p.m. EDT on Friday, August 2, 2024, will be included in the minutes. Please submit written comments to Greg Simonton with “Public Comment” in the subject line. The Deputy Designated Federal Officer is empowered to conduct the meeting in a fashion that will facilitate the orderly conduct of business.
