SUMMARY:
The Black Hills National Forest Advisory Board will hold a public meeting according to the details shown below. The committee is authorized under the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act of 1974, the National Forest Management Act of 1976, the Federal Public Lands Recreation Enhancement Act, and operates in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of forest issues such as forest plan revisions or amendments; forest health including fire, insects, and disease; travel management; forest monitoring and evaluation; recreation fees, and site-specific projects having forest-wide implications.
DATES:
An in-person meeting will be held on November 20, 2024, 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
Written and Oral Comments: Anyone wishing to provide in-person oral comments must pre-register by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 15, 2024. Written public comments will be accepted by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on November 15, 2024. Comments submitted after this date will be provided by the Forest Service to the committee, but the committee may not have adequate time to consider those comments prior to the meeting.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
The meeting agenda will include:
1. Getting to know the committee;
2. Elect Chair and Vice Chair;
3. Federal Advisory Committee Act briefing;
4. Forest recreation fee proposal review; and
5. Forest plan revision update.
The agenda will include time for individuals to make oral statements of three minutes or less. Individuals wishing to make an oral statement should make a request in writing at least three days prior to the meeting date to be scheduled on the agenda. Written comments may be submitted to the Forest Service up to 7 days after the meeting date listed under DATES .

All comments, including names and addresses when provided, are placed in the record and are available for public inspection and copying. The public may inspect comments received upon request.
