Abstract: The Request for Interim Security Clearance (ATF F 8620.70) is used to request approval for a candidate for Federal or Contractor employment at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to be granted an interim security clearance prior to the completion and adjudication of the individual's background investigation. The proposed information collection (IC) OMB # 1140-0119 is being revised to remove the option for one to delay an interim security clearance and to replace it with the option for one to decline the risk associated with an interim security clearance.
