F. L. Case No. R-3838 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION to AND DIRECTION OF RUN-OFF ELECTIONS August N5, 194,. On July 15, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Deci- sion and Direction of Elections in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, elections by secret ballot were conducted on August 6, 1942,'under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Washing- ton). On August 8, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. Neither --------------------------------------- 143 On August 6 and 10, 1942, respectively,'International Woodworkers of America, Local 6-12, C. I.;0., herein called the I. W. A., and Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union, Local No. 3026, A. F. L., herein called the L. & S. W., requested that Run-Off Elections be held since none of .the competing labor organizations had received a majority of the votes cast in either of the elections. The results of each election show that a substantial majority of the employees in question desire to bargain collectively with the Company. Accordingly, we shall direct a Run-Off Election among the machine shop employees, in which such employees will be given an opportunity to decide whether they desire to be repre- sented by the I. W. A., by-the L. & S. W., or by International Associa- tion of Machinists, Lodge No. 1473, for the purposes of 'collective bargaining. We shall also direct a Run-Off Election among the re- maining production and maintenance employees, in which such em- ployees will be given an opportunity to decide whether they desire to be represented by the L. & S. W., or by the I.N. A., for the purposes of collective bargaining. DIRECTION OF RUN-OFF ELECTIONS By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, it is hereby DIRECTED that, as part of the investigation to ascertain representa- tives for the purposes of collective bargaining with Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, Klamath Falls, Oregon, elections by secret ballot shall be conducted as early as possible, but not later than thirty (30) days from the date of this Direction of Run-Off Elections, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region, acting in this matter as agent for the National Labor Rela- of WEYERHAEUSER TIMBER COMPANY 653 tions Board, and subject to Article III, Section 9, of said Rules and Regulations, among the following employees who were eligible to vote in the elections conducted pursuant to the Direction of Elections issued on July 15, 1942, but excluding any who have since quit or been dis- charged for cause: 1. All employees of the machine shop, to determine whether they desire to be represented by Lumber and Sawmill Workers, Local No. 3026, A. F. L.; or by International Woodworkers of America, Local 6-12, C. I. 0., or by International Association of Machinists, Lodge No. 1473, A. F. L., for the purposes of collective bargaining; 2. All production and maintenance employees, to determine whether they desire to be represented by Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union, Local No. 3026, A. F.
