Case No. R-3468 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND DIRECTION May 7, 194,' On February 20, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on March 12, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nine- teenth Region (Seattle, Washington)!. On March 24, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rule's and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. R B, No 209 1209 1210 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD herein called the A. F. of L., filed objections to the conduct of the ballot "and to the Election Report. On the same day, Local 6-12, International Woodworkers of America, herein called-the I. W. A., filed objections to the Election Report. On April 1, 1942, the Regional Director issued a Report on Objections. We have considered the objections of the A. F. of L. to the conduct of the election and the Regional Director's report thereon and find that the objections raise no substantial or material issues with respect to the conduct of the election. We hereby overrule the objections. No objections were filed to the Regional Director's rulings with respect to seven of the challenged ballots. Those rulings are hereby sustained and the Regional Director will be directed to open and count these ballots. However, the I. W. A. excepted to the Regional Director's ruling that the remaining seven challenges should be over- ruled. We have considered the I. W. A.'s objections and the Re- gional Director's report thereon. We hereby overrule the objec- tions of the I. W. A. inasmuch as we find that the employees casting these ballots were eligible to vote under our Direction of Election. Since 'the results of the election may 'be affected by the counting of the challenged ballots, we shall direct that they be counted. DIRECTION By, virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9- (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,. as amended, it is hereby DIRECTED that, as part of the investigation ordered by the Board to ascertain representatives for the purposes of collective bargaining with Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, Klamath Falls, Oregon, the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Washington) shall, pursuant to the Rules and Regulations of the Board set forth above, and subject to Article III, Section 9, of, said Rules and Regu- lations,.within ten (10) days from the date of this Direction, open and count the _ challenged ballots and shall thereafter prepare and cause to be served upon- the parties in-- this, case a 'Supplemental Election Report embodying his findings therein and his recommenda- tions as to the result of the secret ballot.
