I. O. Case No. R-3131 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES January 10, 1940 On December 6, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on December 22, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Ninth Region (Cincinnati, Ohio). On December 22, 1911, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Arti- cle III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regu- lations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report were filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional Director reported as follows : Number of alleged eligible voters----------------------------- 29 Number of ballots placed in ballot bog------------------------- 29 Number of unchallenged ballots for United Construction Workers, Local No. 50, C. By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that American Federation of Labor has been 137 N. R B., No. 38 151 152 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD designated and selected by a majority of all production employees and truck drivers of The Cincinnati Concrete Pipe Company, Reading, Ohio, excluding supervisory and clerical employees, salesmen and con- struction employees, as their representative for the purposes of collec- tive bargaining, and that pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, American Federation of Labor is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
