JOSEPH, MISSOURI Case No. B-2058 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES August 12, 194,1 On October 17, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding," on November 12, 1940, an Amendment to Direction of Election,' and on June 24, 1941, a Second Amendment to Direction of Election.3 Pursuant to the Direction of Election and the amendments, an election by secret ballot was conducted on July 24, 1941, under the supervision of the Regional Director for the Seventeenth Region (Kansas City, Missouri). On July 25, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued an Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report were filed by any of the parties. B., No. 27. 183 184 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT Is HEREBY CERTIFIED that Independent Packinghouse Union of South St. Joseph, Missouri, has been selected by a majority of the maintenance and production employees of Swift & Company, South St. Joseph, Missouri, excluding foremen, assistant foremen, working fore- men, clerical employees wherever located, plant-protection force (police, box-pullers, and fire-department employees), and scalers, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Independent Packinghouse Union of South St. Joseph, Missouri, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
