WOOLEN WORKERS UNION, , , Case No. R-3820 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES July 31, 1942 On' June 20, 1942, the National Labor Relation's Board issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, elections by secret ballot were conducted, on July 10,'1942, under the=direction' and supervision of the Regional Director for the First Region (Boston, Massachu- setts). On July 11, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended,^issued and'duly served upon the parties his Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. In our Decision and' Direction of Elections, we stated that : If a majority of the weavers and' weave-room employees and a majority of the remaining pioduction''employees choose'the'same bargaining agent, then the two gioups of employees,will td'ether constitute a single unit, otherwise they, will not. Upon the basis of the entire record, the Boaid makes the following: SUPPLEMENTAL FINDING OF FACT We-find that the Company's weavers and weave=room' employees, excluding supervisory employees, and that the Company's remaining production employees, excluding supervisory employees, truck drivers, watchmen, gatemen, and the machine-shop ciew, constitute separate units appropriate for the puiposes of collective bargaining, within the meaning of Section 9 (b) of the National,Labor Relations Act. CERTIFICATION- OF REPRESENTATIVES By virtue of and pursuant to the powei vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor 'Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections '8'and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules `and Regulations-Se^ies 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED tha£_ Biiggsville Weavers Club has been designated and selected by a majority of the weavers and weave-room employees, excluding supervisory employees, employed by Strong, Hewat & Co, Inc , Noith Adams, Massachusetts, as their representa- tive for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the Act, Biiggsville Weavers Club is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes STRONG, HEWAT & CO, INC. 1203 of collective bargaining in iespect to rates of pay, wages , hours of employment , and other conditions of employment; and IT IS HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFIED that Strong, Hewat Ind Woolen Workers Union bas been designated and selected by a majority of the production employees, excluding weavers, weave -room employees, supervisory , employees , ti uck drivers , watchmen , gatemen, and the machmeshop crew, employed by Strong , Hewat & Co, Inc, North Adams, Massachusetts , as their representative for-the purposes of col- lective bargaining , and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the Act , Strong, Hewat Ind. Woolen Workers Union is the exclusive representative of all such -employees for the purposes of col- lective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages , hours of employ- ment, and other conditions `of employment.
