Case No. R-3446 AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION February 26, 1942 On February 10, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' On February 17,-1942, the Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee , Local 160, affiliated with the C. I. 0., herein called the P. W. O. C., filed a motion requesting the Board to strike from the ballot the name, Stockyards Industrial Union, No. 1, unaffiliated, on the ground that the latter organization is no longer in existence . On February 18, 1942, the Board issued a notice, copies of which were duly served upon Saint Paul Union' Stockyards Company, Stockyards Industrial Union, No. 1, unaffiliated , and the P. W. O. C., stating that on February 26, 1942, or as soon thereafter as convenient , unless sufficient cause to the contrary shall have then appeared , the Board would amend the Direction as requested. No sufficient cause to the contrary having been shown, the request of the Y. W. O. C. is hereby granted, and the Direction will be amended accordingly. The Board hereby amends the aforesaid Direction of Election by striking therefrom the words "whether they desire to be represented by Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee, Local 160, affili- ated with the C. I. 0., or by Stockyards Industrial Union, No. 1, unaffiliated , for the purposes of collective bargaining , or by neither," and substituting therefor the words "whether or not they desire to be represented by Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee, Local 160, affiliated with the C. Case No. R-3446 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES March 19, 19442 On February 10, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' On February 26, 1942, the Board issued an Amendment to Direction of Electron.- Pursuant to the Direction of Election as amended, an election by secret ballot was conducted on-March 4, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Eighteenth Region (Minneapolis, Minnesota). On March 5, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the election or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of all production and maintenance employees of Saint Paul Union Stockyards Company, South St. Paul, Minnesota, excluding janitors, office help , clerical and supervisory employees, and watchmen, as their representative for the purposes of collective bar- gaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee, Local 160, affiliated with the C . I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
