'On June 19, i942,, the'National Labol Relations "Board 'issued a
Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding 1
Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot
was conducted on July 9, 1942, under the direction and supervision of
the Regional Director for the Fourteenth Region (St Louis, Missoui i) .
On July 10, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article
III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Boaid Rules and Regula-
tions-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties
an Election Report No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to
the Election Report have been filed by either of the parties
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director Ieported
as follows.

Since the challenged ballots which were cast in the election cannot
affect the result thereof, we find it unnecessary to pass upon the
challenges.
The result of the election shows that no collective baigainmg repre-
sentative has been selected by a majority of the employees The peti-
tion for investigation and certification of representatives of employees

By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act,

Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Selles 2, as amended,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petition for investigation and certifica-
tion of representatives of employees of Rosiclare Lead & Fluorspar
Mining Company, Roslc]are, Illinois, filed by District 50, United Mme
Workers Union, be, and it is hereby is, dismissed.
