On June 3, 1942, the National Labor Relations Boaid, herein called
the Boaid, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-
entitled pioceeding 1 Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an elec-
tion by secret ballot was conducted on June 25, 1942, under the
direction and super. vision of the Regional Director for the Second
Region (New York City). On June 26', 1942, the Regional Director,
acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations
Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly
served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the
conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by
any of the parties
As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional Director
reported as follows

Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela-
tions Act, 49 Stat 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9,
of National Labor Relations Boaid Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
as amended,
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Screen Publicists Guild of New York
has been designated and selected by a majority of all adveitising
copywriters, press book editois and writers, publicity and feature
writers, planters and contact men who woi k within the State of New

Yoik, production men, exploitation men who work mainly in New
York City and the surrounding metropolitan area, and salaried artists,
employed in the domestic advertising and publicity department of
RICO Service Corpoiation, located-at 1270 Sixth Avenue, New York
City„ excluding free-lance artists, secretaries, clerks, messenger boys,
delivery boys, free-lance, waiters, artists in art studios, and supei-
visory employees, as their representative for the purposes of collet
tive bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act,
Screen Publicists Guild of ;New York is the exclusive representative
of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in
respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment,- and other
conditions of employment.
