Quincy Compressor Co.Download PDFNational Labor Relations Board - Board DecisionsSep 23, 194135 N.L.R.B. 645 (N.L.R.B. 1941) Copy Citation In the Matter of QUINCY COMPRESSOR COMPANY and INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS Case No. R-2831 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND ORDER September 23, 1941 On August 19, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction in the above-entitled proceedings.,- Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was con- ducted on August 29, 1941, under the direction and supervision of the Acting Regional Director for the Fourteenth Region (St. Louis, Missouri ). On September 3, 1941, the Acting Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9,, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results, the Acting Regional Director reported as follows : (The number of employees who were , eligible to vote was 47) Total number of ballots cast_____________________________ 47 Number of ballots challenged _______________________________ None Number of blank ballots___________________________________ None Number of void ballots____________________________________ None total number of ballots counted___________________________ 47 Number of ballots voted "Yes," that is , designating Lodge 822, International Association of Machinists , as the rep- resentative for the purposes of collective bargaining ------ 10 Number of ballots voted "Nd'_____________________________ 37 The results of the election show that no collective bargaining rep. resentative has been selected by a majority of the employees of the Company in the unit heretofore found to be appropriate for collective bargaining.
