R-3733 'SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES August 27,1942 On May 19, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a De- cision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceedings Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on June 11, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Wash- ington). On June 13, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. F. of L------------------------------------------------- 12 Votes cast for neither--------------------------------------- 5 By a motion filed July 6, 1942,'United Steelworkers of America moved the Board to amend the caption and record in this proceeding by ' substituting its present name, United Steelworkers of America, 1 41 N.L.R B 103. 43 N. L. R. B., No. 114 740 OHIO FERRO-ALLOYS CORPORATION 741 for its former name, Steel Workers Organizing Committee, wher- ever' appearing in this proceeding. The parties, having been served with orders to show cause why this motion should` not be granted, and no response thereto having been received, the Board hereby amends the instant proceeding by striking therefrom the words "Steel Workers Organizing Committee" wherever they appear and substituting therefor the words "United Steelworkers of America." By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela'- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Steelworkers of America, Local 2626, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, has' been designated and selected by a majority of all production and main-' tenance employees at the Tacoma Plant of Ohio Ferro-Alloys Corpora- tion, Tacoma, Washington, including the storerooth clerk, but exclud- ing office, clerical, and supervisory employees, chemists, and mainte- nance foremen; as their, representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Steelworkers of America, Local 2626, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of' employment.
