MURPHY, DOING BUSINESS AS MURPHY TIMBER COMPANY and LOCAL No. 5-92, INTERNATIONAL WOODWORKERS OF AMERICA, AFFILI- ATED WITH THE CONGRESS OF INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATIONS Case No. B-2957 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES February 6, 194.2 On December 11, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceed- ing.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret bal- lot was conducted on January 9, 1942, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Washington). On January 13, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued an Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties. No ob- jections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report were filed by any of the parties. ,As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility list ------------------------------------ 28 Votes cast for International Woodworkers of America, Local #5--92, C. R B, No. 177. 976 MURPHY TIMBER COMPANY 977 IT is HEREBY cERTIFrm that Local #5-92, International Woodworkers of America, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organiza- tions, has been selected by a majority of all production and mainte- nance employees of Harry Murphy, E. J. Murphy, P. C. Murphy and J. R. Murphy, doing business as Murphy Timber Company, Portland, Oregon, including persons who drive company-owned trucks and are paid day wages by the Company and truckers who own only one truck and drive that truck on the Company's operations, but excluding truck- ers who own more than one truck and persons driving trucks owned by the truckers, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Local #5-92, International Wood- workers of America, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organ- izations, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. 0 488861-42-vol. 38-63 Copy with citationCopy as parenthetical citation
