R-3256 and R-3257 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES February 08, 194 On January 16, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.) Pursuant to the Direction of Election, elections by secret ballot were conducted on February 12, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illi- nois). On February 13, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, duly issued and served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballots or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional. I. O., has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees of the Chicago Mail Order House of Montgomery Ward & Co., Incorpo- rated, Chicago, Illinois, including the fashion department and tele- phone exchange operators, but excluding the employees in the Ad- ministration Building, Merchandise Mart Building, Schwinn Ware- house and medical department, and the branch manager, the'branch operating manager, the branch merchandising manager, and the branch comptroller, and the other confidential or supervisory em-, ployees, as their representative for the -purposes of collective bargain- ing, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, United Mail Order, Warehouse and Retail Employees' Union, Local No. 20, affiliated with the C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the pur- poses of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
