On January 3, 1942, the National Labor Relations Board , herein
called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in

the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elec-
tions, elections by secret ballot were conducted under the direction
and supervision of the respective Regional Directors for the Fifth
Region (Baltimore, Maryland) on January 22, 1942; for the Eighth
Region (Cleveland, Ohio) on January 29, 1942; for the Tenth Region
(Atlanta, Georgia) on January 28, 29, and 30, 1942; for the Eleventh
Region (Indianapolis, Indiana) on January 28, 1942; and for the
Fifteenth Region (New Orleans, Louisiana) on January 30, 1942.
On and before February 6, 1942, the said Regional Directors, acting
pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board
Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served
upon the parties their respective Elections Reports. No objections
to the conduct of the ballots or the Elections Reports have been
filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and` its results, the

The results of the elections-show that no collective bargaining
representative has been selected by a majority of the Company's em-
ployees in the appropriate unit at its district office in Lynchburg,
Virginia. We shall dismiss the petition of American Federation of
Industrial & Ordinary Insurance Agents' Union No. 22947, Lynch-
burg, Virginia, for investigation and certification of representatives
of the Company's employees in that unit and shall certify the repre-
-sentatives respectively designated by the majorities of the Company's
employees in each of the other units.
CERTIFICATIONS OF REPRESENTATIVES
By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National
Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c)-of the National Labor Re-
lations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and
9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series

and selected by a majority of the debit collectors employed by Life
Insurance Company of Virginia in its district office in Roanoke, Vir-
ginia, excluding district managers, assistant district managers, office
and clerical employees, and inspectors, as their representative for the
purpose of collective bargaining, and that pursuant to Section 9 (a)
of the Act, American Federation of Industrial & Ordinary Insurance
Agents' Union No. 22857, of Roanoke, Virginia, affiliated with the
American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of such
employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates

office and clerical employees , and inspectors , as their representative
for the purpose of collective bargaining , and that pursuant to Section

ORDER
By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act,
49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of Na-
tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as
amended, the National Labor Relations Board hereby orders that

surance Agents' Union No. 22947, Lynchburg, Virginia, affiliated with
the American Federation of Labor, for investigation and certifica-

Virginia, Branch Office, Lynchburg, Virginia, filed herein, be,-and it
hereby is, dismissed.
