On April 1, 1942, the Board issued its Supplemental Decision, Order Setting Aside Election, and Amendment to Decision and Direction of Election.2 ' On'April 21,1942, the Board issued its Second Supplemental Decision and Second Direction of Election.3 Pursuant to the Second Direction of Election, a second election by secret ballot was conducted on May 13, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Second Region (New York City). On May 15, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties her Second Elec- tion Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Second Election Report have been filed by either of the parties. R B, No. 105 519 520 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY cERTn?IEn that United Furniture Workers of America, Beacon Local 78, has been designated and selected by a majority of all production employees of Lewittes & Sons, Inc., also known as Silcon Furniture Company, Inc., and The Groveville Corp., Beacon, New York, at the Beacon, New York, plant, excluding truck drivers, the mechanic, the office staff, stationary engineers, maintenance men, watchmen, company officers, keymen, and the foremen or supervisors whose names are Al Bates, William Bernard, Isidore Ernst, Abe Friedman, Harry Friedman, Hyman Friedman, Jack Glazer, and Jack Patten, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to' Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Furniture. Workers of America, Beacon Local 78, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
