I. O. Case No. R-3255 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES February 25, 19.2 On January 10 and 30, 1942, respectively, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election 1 and Amendment to Direction of Election 2 in the above-entitled pro- ceeding. Pursuant to the Direction of Election, as amended, an election by secret ballot was conducted on February 3, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thir- teenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On February 4, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued his Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties.' No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report were filed by any of the parties. R B , No 38 221 222 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD Organizations, has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees paid on an hourly rate and, heaters paid on a monthly rate, employed at the Chicago plant of Interlake Iron Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, including laboratory samplers, but excluding super- visory employees, cafeteria managers,' patrolmen and watchmen, office employees, gate and first-aid men, _bus operators, chemists, monthly paid yard clerks, and weighmasters, and the blueprint boy, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) -of the Act, Local Union 1657, Steel Workers Organizing Committee, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive repre- sentative of all such-employees for the purposes of collective bargain- ing with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
