I. O. Case No. 13-R-2434 SECOND AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTION July 26,1944 On June 2, 1944, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding (56 N. L. R. B. 1169). Thereafter,- on June 27, 1944, the Board, having been advised by the Regional Director that charges alleging that the'Company had engaged in certain unfair labor practices had been filed by International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, C: I. 0., issued an Amendment to Direction of Election in which it directed that tfie, election be postponed until "such time as the Board, shall in the future direct." (56 N. L. R. B. 1716.) The Board, now advised by the Regional Director that the Inter-' national Union desires an immediate election and has filed a waiver` of any right, power, or privilege to protest an election held herein- on any ground contained in the charge previously filed by it in Case No. 13-C-2418, shall direct that an election by secret -ballot be held among the employees in the unit heretofore found appropriate in its' Decision and Direction of Election issued on June 2,1944. IT Is HEREBY ORDERED that the Direction of Election of June 2, 1944, be- further amended- by striking therefrom the words, "at 'such time as the Board may in the future, direct" and substituting therefor the words, "as early as possible, but not later than thirty (30) days from the date of this-Sec©nd,,A .mendrnent:" ... - CHAIRMAN MILLIS took no part in the consideration of the above Second Amendment to Direction of Election. 57 N.
