Pursuant to the Direction of • Election, as amended, an election by secret ballot was conducted on or about August 30, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). B., No. 21. 100 COLUMBIA METAL COMPANY, INC. 101 Organizations, has been designated and selected by a majority of all production and maintenance employees employed by the Company in and about its Chicago, Illinois, plant, excluding executive,' super: visory, office, and clerical employees, and handymen, truckmen, and watchmen, as their representative for the purpose of collective bar- gaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Local 758, International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organiza- tions, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
