On May 18, 1942 , the National Labor Relations Board issued a
Decision and Dnection of Election in this proceeding 1 Pursuant
to the Direction of Election , an election by secret ballot was conducted
on June 12, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional
Director for the Fifteenth Region ( New Orleans , Louisiana). On
June 17, 1942 , the Regional Director , acting pursuant to Article III,
Section 9 , of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regula-
tions-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties
an Election Report No objections to the conduct of the ballot or
to the Election,Report have been filed by any of the parties.
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as

designated and selected by a majority of all production and mainte-
nance employees of Chapman & Dewey Lumber Company, Memphis,
Tennessee, including Paul Ingle and Waltei Perry, but excluding
clerical employees, watchmen, traffic men, engineers with special
licenses, supervisory employees,- shipping employees, checkers, lumber
inspectors, assistant foremen, and temporary construction employees,
as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and
that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, International Woodwork-
ers of America, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organiza-
tions, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the
purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages,
hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
