ATKIN COMPANY and UNITED FURNITURE WORKERS OF AMERICA, CIO Case No. 1?4929 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES November 28, 1941 On September 23, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceed- ing.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on October 17, 1941, -under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Tenth Region (Atlanta, Georgia). On October 29, 1941, the Regional Director, acting pur- suant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. ATKLN COMPANY 41 pany, Knoxville, Tennessee, at Plants Nos. 1 and 2, including truck drivers, watchmen, and janitors, but excluding assistant foremen and higher supervisory employees, lumber inspectors, salesmen, clerical employees, and all employees having the right to hire and discharge, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargainingi and that pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, United Furniture Workers of America, CIO, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
