I. O. Case No. R-2741 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES September 23, 1941 On August 6, 1941, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceedings' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on August 26, 1941, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Washington). On August 28, 1941, the Regional Director acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total on eligibility list------------------------------------ 198 Total number of ballots cast------------------------------ 187 Total number of ballots cast for International Woodworkers of America, Local No. 5-246, affiliated with the C. I. O--_- 133 Total number of ballots cast for Willamette Valley District Council, A. F. of L------------------------------------- 48 Total number of ballots cast for neither------------------ 2 Total number of challenged ballots------------------------ 4 Total number of void ballots------------------------------ 0 Total number of blank ballots----------------------------- 0 Since the four challenged ballots could have no possible effect on the outcome of the election, it is unnecessary to rule upon them. By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested in the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, 1 33 N. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of all employees of Booth-Kelly Lumber Company, Eugene, Oregon, engaged in the manufacturing, whole- saling, and retailing of lumber products in the operation of the Company's mill located in Springfield, Oregon, excluding super- visory and office employees, as their representative for the, purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, International Woodworkers of Amer- ica, Local No. 5-246, affiliated with the C.
