Pursuant to the Direction, an election by secret ballot was con- ducted 'on September-3, 1942, under the direction-and, supervision of the Regional Director for the Eighteenth Region (Minneapolis, Min- nesota). On September 5, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursu- ant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the, conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. No 70. 375 376 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD of all production and maintenance employees of Armour and Com- pany, Chicago, Illinois, at its Grand Forks, North Dakota, plant, including gang leaders and livestock handlers, but excluding super- intendents,managers, foremen, clerical workers in the general office, policemen and watchmen who are deputized and exercise police powers, livestock cashiers, messengers and salesmen who do not work part time in the production and maintenance line, truck drivers, chemists, check- ers, scalers, graders, weighmasters, plant and storeroom clerks, and working foremen, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Amalga- mated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America, Local 377, affiliated with American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
