R-429 and R-430, respectively SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES October 9, 19492 • On August 21,'1942, the National Labor Relations Board issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, elections by secret ballot were conducted on September 15, 1942, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Eighth Region (Cleveland, Ohio). On September' 18, 1942, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. O.)---------------------------------------------- 13 In the Decision and Direction of Elections previously referred to, the Board made no final determination as to the appropriate unit or units. The Board there stated: If a majority of the toolroom employees, select the M. E. ,S. A. as their representative, they will constitute a separate unit; if a majority of both voting groups choose the U. A. W., the groups will together constitute a single unit. Upon the entire record in the case, the Board makes the following : SUPPLEMENTAL FINDING OF FACT We find that all production and maintenance employees of 'the Company, including maintenance mechanics, maintenance machinists, tool and die makers, tool grinders, and tool inspectors employed in Department 9, but excluding office employees, timekeepers, counters and checkers, watchmen, time-study employees, tool , design em- ployees, employees of the engineering and drafting department and the engineering and experimental department, plant engineers, em- ployees of the medical department,,the production follow-up staff, and the planning staff, foremen, assistant foremen, and other super- visory employees, constitute a unit appropriate for the purposes of collective bargaining within the meaning of Section 9 (b) of the Act. CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES By virtue of and pursuant to the power vested iii the National Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela- tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as'amended, - IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that International Union, United Automo- bile, Aircraft and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (C.
