It shall be the duty of said dairy and food commissioner to inspect any articles of vinegar, jellies, cider, evaporated apples or other apple products made or offered for sale in the state of Pennsylvania as an article of food or drink, and to prosecute or cause to be prosecuted any person or persons, firm or firms, corporation or corporations engaged in the manufacture or sale of any adulterated article of food or drink, or adulterated in violation of or contrary to any laws of the state of Pennsylvania now in force or hereafter to be passed.
