The municipalities shall be governed by the regulatory provisions approved by the Secretary of the Treasury with regard to the conservation of documents of a fiscal nature, or which are needed for inspection and checking of governmental accounts and fiscal operations, pursuant to §§ 1001 et seq. of Title 3, which establishes the Public Document Conservation and Disposal Program.
