§ 138g. Subdirector, appointment, requirements

The Secretary shall designate a Deputy Director of the Bureau, who shall assist the Director in the performance of his/her duties and who shall be an attorney admitted to the practice of the legal profession by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, or a person holding a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice with not less than ten (10) years of experience in criminal investigations. In the absence of the Director, said official shall substitute for the latter and function as Acting Director in all matters, obligations and responsibilities inherent to the aforesaid office of Director, pursuant to the provisions of this §§ 138—138r of this title, and shall hold office until the Director returns to his/her post or until the Secretary fills the vacancy and the person thus appointed takes office as such.
