§ 332. Benefit

The Department shall offer the following benefit to the employees who voluntarily opt for the same:

(a) Right to receive a retirement pension of seventy-five percent (75%) of the average compensation of employees who are forty-eight (48) years of age who on June 30, 2008, have completed a minimum of twenty-four (24) years and six (6) months of services credited as participants of the Employees Retirement System of the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its Instrumentalities, upon previous certification of the Department.

This average compensation shall be determined according to the date on which the employee joined the Retirement System, as established in §§ 761 et seq. of this title.
