Section 231.343 - Fashion Design, Grades 9-12(a) An assignment for Fashion Design I, Fashion Design I Lab, Fashion Design II, or Fashion Design II Lab, Grades 9-12, is allowed with one of the following certificates. (1) Any home economics or homemaking certificate.(2) Family and Consumer Sciences, Composite: Grades 6-12.(b) Subject to the requirements in subsection (c) of this section, an assignment for Practicum in Fashion Design or Extended Practicum in Fashion Design, Grades 9-12, is allowed with one of the following certificates. (1) Any home economics or homemaking certificate.(2) Family and Consumer Sciences, Composite: Grades6-12.(c) The school district is responsible for ensuring that each teacher assigned to Practicum in Fashion Design or Extended Practicum in Fashion Design, Grades 9-12, has completed appropriate training in state and federal requirements regarding work-based learning and safety.19 Tex.
