Section Env-Sw 103.54 - Open burning

"Open burning" means "open burning" as defined by 40 CFR 61, namely "the combustion of solid waste without:

(a) Control of combustion air to maintain adequate temperature for efficient combustion;
(b) Containment of the combustion reaction in an enclosed device to provide sufficient residence time and mixing for complete combustion; and
(c) Control of the emissions of the combustion products."
