Section 4284.916 - [Effective 11/15/2024] Reserved funds(a) The following reserved funds will be made available each Fiscal Year: (1) 10 percent of total program funding to fund Projects that benefit Beginning Farmers or Ranchers or Socially-Disadvantaged Farmers or Ranchers; and(2) 10 percent of total program funding to fund Projects where a majority of the requested grant amount goes to improving Food Safety for the purpose of enhancing market access; and(3) 10 percent of total program funding to fund Projects that propose development of Mid-Tier Value Chains.(b) Reserved funds not obligated by September 30 of each Fiscal Year shall be available to the Secretary in the next Fiscal Year to make grants under this subpart to eligible Applicants in the general funds competition.
