Ford v. Cascade Health Services

United States District Court, D. Oregon
Jun 25, 2004
Civil No. 03-6256-TC (D. Or. Jun. 25, 2004)

Opinion

Civil No. 03-6256-TC.

ORDER

Given that the court has just now issued an FR on pending motions to dismiss in this matter, given that that FR is subject to further review by a district Judge, given further that an answer has yet to be filed in this case, and having reviewed plaintiff's counsel's affidavit, as well as the response from defendant Bend Anesthesiology Group, I grant plaintiff's motion for an extension of the discovery, pretrial, and joint ADR deadlines of 120 days, up to and including October 13, 2004. However, a review of counsel's affidavit leads me to observe that counsel (a sole practitioner with a heavy caseload) should consider expanding her law firm or limiting her caseload. The cup, in other words, is not only full, it is overflowing.
