R-1581, R-158f, and R-1583, respectively AMENDMENT TO DIRECTION OF ELECTIONS April 19, 1940 On March 22, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, 'herein called the Board, issued a Decision, Direction of Elections, and Order 1 in the above-entitled proceedings. On March 30, 1940, the Board is- sued a Supplemental Order granting leave to each of the parties herein to file, if it so desired, objections in writing with the Board in Wash- ington, D. C., on or before April 8, 1940, to the entry of an order by the Board on April 9, 1940, or thereafter, amending the caption of the above-entitled cases, the formal papers herein, the above-mentioned Decision, Direction of Elections, and Order, and the record herein so as correctly to set forth the name of International Association, of .Ma- chinists, Lodge 340, A. F. L. as International Association of Machin- ists, Lodge 315, A. F. L. and on April 11, 1940, no sufficient cause to the contrary having been shown, issued its Order so changing the designation of said union. A stipulation signed by Wilson-Jones Company, herein called the Company, International Association of Machinists, Lodge 340, A. F. L., herein called the I. A. M., and United Loose Leaf and Blank Book Workers, Local Industrial Union, No. 148, C. I. 0., herein called the United, having been filed with the Board on April 13, 1940, with respect to Case No. R-1582, which stipulation pro- vides that the United desires to have its name withdrawn from the ballot in the election directed by the Board to be held among the tool and die makers, machinists, maintenance machinists, machinists' help- ers, and apprentices employed by the Company at its Elizabeth plant., that neither the Company nor the I. A. M. objects to such withdrawal, 121 N. L. R. B. 943. 22 N. L. R. B., No. 95. 1118 WILSON-JONES COMPANY 1119 and that the Board may amend its order to remove the name of the United from the ballot in the election to be held among the aforesaid employees, the Board hereby amends its Direction of Elections issued on March 22, 1940, as amended on April 11, 1940, by striking from paragraph (1) thereof the words "they desire to be represented by International Association of Machinists, Lodge 315, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, or by United Loose Leaf and Blank Book Workers, Local Industrial Union, No. 148, affiliated with the Congress "of Industrial Organizations, for the purposes of collective bargaining, or by neither" and substituting therefor the words "or not they desire to be represented by International Association of Machin- ists, Lodge 315, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, for the purposes of collective bargaining."
