R-1556 and R-1557, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES January 8, 1940 On November 8, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board issued its. Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceed- ings.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on December 7, 1939, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chi- cago, Illinois). On December 18, 1939, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. Full opportunity to participate in the conduct of the election and to make challenges was accorded to all parties. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 16. 120 WESTERN RUBBER COMPANY 121 tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that United Rubber Workers of America, Local No. 30, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, has been designated and selected by a majority of the production and maintenance employees of Western Rubber Company, Goshen, In- diana, including inspectors and plant clerical employees, but excluding foremen, assistant foremen, "Bedeaux" men, the direct office force, superintendents, persons with power to hire and discharge, George Ridenaur, Walter Lechlitner, Paul Markley, Jesse Bruce, and Joe Kerlin, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargain- ing, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, United Rubber Workers of America, Local No. 30, affiliated with the Congress of In- dustrial Organizations, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
